How do I look after a hard-shell suitcase?
Thanks to the high-quality and robust materials used in hard-shell suitcases, they are very easy to look after. Nevertheless, we have put together a few tips for you here to ensure your suitcases have a long service life:
- Interior: loose dirt can simply be tipped out; the rest can be removed with a vacuum cleaner
- the exterior can also be vacuumed if dust has accumulated on the suitcase
- stubborn stains can be removed with a soft brush
- the interior of the suitcase can be gently cleaned by hand using a sponge.
- the trolley wheels are also prone to getting dirty, but can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. For particularly stubborn dirt, you can also place the suitcase with its wheels in the bath for a short while to soak – this makes it easier to remove the dirt afterwards with a soft brush.

As well as the dimensions and high-quality construction, a large capacity is also important so that as much luggage as possible can be stowed whilst keeping the bag’s own weight to a minimum. With regard to dimensions, most airlines only permit hand luggage with the maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm and a maximum weight of 8 kg, in order to be allowed to take it into the cabin.
