If your luggage lock won't open, there may be various reasons for this. Please check the following first:

  1. Check number combination
The digits are often inadvertently changed. Try out all possible combinations at your leisure.
  2. Operate lock correctly
Make sure to push or slide the lock slider completely to the side.
  3. Note factory setting
If you have not yet set your own combination, the factory setting is 0-0-0.
  4. Check the position of the case
Depending on the position of the case, number combinations can be read differently (e.g. 8-6-9 ↔ 6-9-8).

If the lock still cannot be opened, it may have been damaged during the journey. In this case:

  • report the damage directly to the respective transport company (e.g. airline).

If the case is still under warranty and there is a technical defect, please contact the retailer from whom you purchased the case.

No. For security reasons, travelite suitcase locks do not have a reset button. A reset button would also allow unauthorised persons to reset the lock and gain access to the contents of the suitcase. This is how we ensure that your luggage is protected in the best possible way.

All travelite case locks are set to 0-0-0 at the factory.
How to set your own number combination:

  • Follow the instructions that come with every travelite case, or
  • Ask your specialist dealer to explain the setting to you.

You can also find all the latest lock instructions on our website at: www.travelite.com/de/schlossanleitungen
